Attention JES families ❗️
Beginning tomorrow August 12th, at 6:00 A.M. the town of Jay will be closing the intersection of Alabama Street (Highway 89) and School Street to repair the water well. After 6:00 A.M. tomorrow, there will be NO turn from Alabama Street (Highway 89) onto School Street. School Street will be closed from Highway 89 to the entrance to the JES/JHS parent pickup line. Access to the JHS bus ramp, as well as the JES/JHS parent drop off/pickup area will be available from Spring Street. Please see the attached map to show which areas of School Street will be closed. Please be mindful that busses will still need to enter and exit JHS. Do NOT block any drives or entrances to JHS on School Street during pickup and drop off times. This closure will be in effect from Wednesday; August 12th at 6:00 A.M. through Tuesday; August 18th. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused, and we ask for your patience as we navigate this momentary change.

Registration for the 26-27 school year is happening NOW! Prompt registration is essential to help us plan staffing, schedules, and services to best support every student on the first day of school! Call today at 850-359-8230 to set up a time to come by. Our office is open Monday - Friday 8 am- 2 pm. *Students who were enrolled at JES for the 25-26 school year are already registered.
If you are interested in volunteering at JES for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete the volunteer application and submit it by June 23rd. All volunteers must be approved by the School Board. The form can be found at https://www.santarosaschools.org/page/volunteer-information or you can stop by the office and grab one, too!
